The Challenge

Primary School required an update to its fire-safety provisions after several fire doors were found to be worn, incorrectly closing, or lacking certification. As a busy UK primary school, the priority was to achieve full compliance with UK Fire Safety Regulations while keeping disruption to pupils and staff to a minimum.

Our Solution

Comprehensive Fire Door Survey
OD Fire Protection assessed all FD30 and FD60 fire doors, inspecting seals, ironmongery, frames, and self-closing mechanisms.
Certified Installations & Repairs
- Supplied and installed new, fully certified fire-rated doorsets where required.
- Carried out repairs to doors that remained structurally sound, including replacing seals, adjusting door closers, and ensuring correct alignment
School-Friendly Scheduling
Works were planned outside teaching hours — including evenings and weekends — to ensure safety and continuity of learning.
Documentation & Handover
The school received full fire-door certification, inspection reports, and maintenance guidance for ongoing compliance.
